On March 11, 1981, in a suffocating student cafeteria in Prishtina, a defiant young woman named Bahrie endures hunger, humiliation, and mounting tension as whispers of political unrest quietly surround her. When her frustration erupts into a single impulsive act, it ignites a chain reaction that transforms everyday oppression into open political revolt.
Endrit Qarolli is a filmmaker born and raised in Prishtina, Kosovo. He moved to London to study film at the London Film Academy. After finishing film school he moved back to Kosovo to pursue a career in telling stories deeply rooted in the culture and background he grew up in. This culminated in his debut short film “Ndera” which premiered at the prestigious DOKUFEST film festival, where it won the Distribution Award.
